100 Archive Selection

We are thrilled to have 3 project selected for 100 Archive 2019 selection:

Dublin Theatre Festival

Galway International Arts Festival

Temple Bar Gallery + Studios

The 100 Archive charts the past, present and future of Irish design by publishing 100 notable communication design projects, selected each year following an open call.

The tenth annual 100 Archive selection is a selection of 100 examples of work completed in 2019. This year they were drawn from 370 projects submitted by 119 designers.

Speaking on behalf of the judges, Jason Wilson-Max, Berlin-based interdisciplinary creative, said:

‘I am most encouraged by the diversity of active patronage in this year's entries, with businesses, organisations and individuals of all types seeking, then trusting talented designers to develop and communicate messages to impact, inform, challenge and inspire global, national or local communities. The positive response to that trust and care for the issues is reflected in the effectiveness and quality of the submissions that comes only from a deep understanding of those communities and the commitment to visual communications and graphic design as necessary crafts.’

Karen Hanratty, Founder & Creative Director of Path, said:

‘On behalf of all the team at Pixel Design, we are delighted to have our work included in the incredible selection of Irish design projects from designers working all over Ireland and Irish designers working abroad. Thank you to 100 Archive Professional and Archive Panel for their continued efforts in creating this living archive to present the past, present and future of Irish communication design.’
