Shannon Group Website Strategy
What We Did
- Stakeholder alignment
- User research
- Discovery workshop
- Website brief writing
- Procurement assessment
We were engaged by The Office of Public Works (OPW) to develop a website strategy, roadmap, and brief for the Shannon Flood Risk State Agency Co-ordination Working Group. The new website will inform citizens about the causes of flooding along the Shannon River and provide updates on public works aimed at reducing flood risks.
Strategy
The project began with a Discovery and Stakeholder Alignment Workshop, involving representatives from 10 State Agencies. This collaborative session clarified website goals, audience needs, and priorities. Aligning the diverse views of multiple stakeholders helped create a unified vision for the website, ensuring all agencies had a clear understanding of the project’s purpose and objectives.
Solution
We developed a detailed website strategy, addressing content creation, technical requirements, and user needs. The roadmap provided a clear path for development, from procurement through to launch. We also prepared guidelines for the procurement process, including scoring criteria to ensure a fair and thorough selection of suppliers.
Stakeholder Alignment
With 10 State Agencies involved, managing differing priorities was crucial. Our approach to stakeholder alignment ensured all perspectives were considered and incorporated into the website’s strategy. By facilitating open discussions and clear communication, we built consensus around key objectives, ensuring that the website would meet the needs of all parties involved.
